Vistara-Air India Merger: How will it impact passengers with loyalty points


The Vistara Airlines is set to complete its last day of operation before officially amalgamating with Air India on November 12. This merger which has received a $257m support from the Singapore Airlines elicits the Tata Group’s plan of synergy and transformation of Air India into a global full service airline.

However, all the passengers who travel after this date of November 12, will have to take new tickets of Air India only. All the employees of Vistara along with its aircraft will also join Air India thus bidding goodbye to Vistara with the end of this deal as the ten-year-old airline bid adieu to its India premium airline life.


Vistara Airlines is a full service letter airline based in India and is operated as a joint venture with Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines (SIA).
